Karachi has emerged as a vibrant centre of creativity and cultural expression with the opening of Art Fest Karachi 2026 at the Sumbra Art Gallery, drawing artists, students, and members of the public to celebrate the province’s artistic heritage.
Organised by the Sindh Culture Department and inaugurated by Provincial Minister Zulfiqar Ali Shah, the event showcased a broad range of visual works that traced the evolution of Sindh’s art from motifs of the ancient Indus Valley civilisation to contemporary pieces by emerging creators.
Visitors engaged with paintings and installations rich in colour and symbolism, offering layered interpretations of history and identity. The exhibition also emphasised opportunities for aspiring artists, with organisers highlighting plans for scholarships alongside the artistic showcase.
