Pakistan condemns Israel Gaza assault

The Islamabad-based foreign office of Pakistan issued a stern condemnation of recent strikes by Gaza’s occupying forces, describing the attacks as “blatant violations” of international law and United Nations resolutions. The statement came after Palestinian health officials reported that at least 24 people—including children—were killed and 54 more wounded during the Israeli military operations on Saturday.

According to the Pakistani officials, the fresh hostilities undermine global efforts to attain peace and stability in the region, while the country reiterated its call for immediate action by the international community to end “Israeli impunity and ceasefire violations.”

It also referenced the recent UN Security Council endorsement of a US-led blueprint to secure Gaza, which includes a transitional authority and stabilization force, highlighting Pakistan’s view that ongoing attacks jeopardize that roadmap.
