Former senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, who is leading the Pakistani delegation on the Global Sumud Flotilla, has confirmed that Israeli forces are boarding aid vessels participating in the mission. He clarified that despite the Israeli interception, he has not been detained.
According to a statement from the Pak-Palestine Forum, “Israel has begun seizing the flotilla’s ships and abducting international volunteers on board. Ex-senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, however, is currently not arrested.” This statement highlights rising concerns over the safety of international activists on the flotilla.
The advocacy group emphasized that while the Global Sumud Flotilla is facing aggressive Israeli action, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan remains free and continues to represent Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine.
