Karachi robbery gang ringleader arrested after encounter

Police in Karachi’s Qasba Colony have captured a ringleader and two accomplices of an alleged robbery gang following an exchange of gunfire, authorities said on February 21, 2026. Pirabad police reported that the suspects were found injured near Ali Ground after a confrontation and were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

The men were identified as 32-year-old Amir Bakhsh alias Badshah, wanted with a Rs 1 million bounty, 27-year-old Najeebullah, and 40-year-old Farooq. Police said weapons, ammunition, narcotics including ice and hashish, mobile phones and cash were recovered from them, and that four others fled during the encounter. A search is underway for the remaining suspects as investigators prepare to question the arrested men about multiple cases of robbery and killings across the city.
