Murtaza Wahab, the Mayor of Karachi, has called on Kamran Tessori, the Governor of Sindh province, to refrain from engaging in political activities and rhetoric.
Wahab said that the governor’s role is a constitutional, non-partisan one, and thus the office should not be used to make political statements or represent any single party.
He criticized Tessori, a member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan (MQM-P), for giving misleading assurances to the public about the 27th Amendment and said that MQM-P leaders make contradictory statements in Karachi, Sukkur and Islamabad.
