According to the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Pakistan, Mahan Air is set to launch three weekly flights between Karachi and Dhaka beginning next month.
The new air link aims to bolster trade, business travel, and cargo movement between the two countries. The envoy noted that visa procedures have been simplified — business-class travellers can now obtain visas within 3–4 days via a joint recommendation from the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and the Bangladesh Honorary Consulate.
Officials expect the direct flights to strengthen connectivity, support exports (like rice from Pakistan), and enhance cooperation in sectors such as textiles, garments, and trade logistics.
In addition to passenger flights, a dedicated cargo link between Pakistan and Bangladesh is reportedly under consideration to handle growing bilateral trade volumes.
