Pakistani actress Saba Qamar has responded to the online backlash that followed her remarks about Karachi. In a recent interview, she had said she visits the city for work but would “Astaghfirullah” never move there, preferring Lahore or Islamabad instead.
Addressing the criticism on Instagram, she wrote: “Breaking news: I have feelings and opinions. Shocking, right?” and clarified: “There was no disrespect intended — I simply shared my personal perspective when asked.”
The comment had triggered a storm on social media, with some users accusing her of belittling Karachi despite earning from projects in the city, while others defended her right to express personal preferences.
