In a tightly contested encounter at Rawalpindi, Sri Lanka edged out Pakistan by six runs to set up a final against the same opponents.
Sri Lanka posted 184/5 in their 20 overs, driven by a solid innings from Kamil Mishara (76) supported by Kusal Mendis (40).
In response, Pakistan got a fighting 63 from their captain Salman Ali Agha, but despite a determined chase, the hosts fell short at 178/7, thanks to a match-winning spell by Dushmantha Chameera — 4 for 20 — who held his nerve in the final over.
The win clinches Sri Lanka’s spot in the tri-series final. Pakistan, meanwhile, must regroup as they prepare to face a rejuvenated Sri Lankan side once again in the decider.
