Sindh e-marking system

The provincial government of Sindh has launched an e-marking system to digitise the marking and result-processing of matriculation and intermediate exams — a move aimed at reducing human error, speeding up results, and enhancing transparency.

Under the new approach, exam answer sheets will be scanned, QR-coded, and assessed electronically. Different sections of a student’s paper will be marked by different teachers — ensuring that no single examiner grades an entire paper — thereby improving fairness and reducing the risk of bias or malpractice.

A high-level committee named Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), along with Sindh’s education boards, will oversee implementation.

The system is scheduled for rollout beginning in the 2026 academic cycle.
