PM vows to eliminate terrorism development Balochistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has vowed to **eliminate terrorism and accelerate development in Balochistan, reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to security and progress during a visit to Quetta. Sharif praised the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army, Levies and other security forces in combating militants and emphasised that peace and national unity are essential to defeating terrorism.

Addressing local leaders, the prime minister highlighted federal efforts to ensure equitable resource distribution and announced the re-formation of the National Finance Commission (NFC) award committee to support fair provincial funding. He also outlined major infrastructure and education initiatives, including the ongoing Karachi–Chaman highway project — a multi-billion-rupee effort expected to enhance connectivity, trade and economic activity in the region — and the establishment of five Daanish schools aimed at expanding quality education opportunities for disadvantaged children.

Shehbaz reaffirmed that the government will continue focusing on both security and development, stating that “progress, education and peace will go hand in hand” and stressing the importance of transforming Balochistan into a peaceful, prosperous part of Pakistan’s future.
