Karachi sewerage cleaning trucks

The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has upgraded its sanitation fleet by adding 20 new blue suction and jetting trucks—bringing the total fleet size up from 122 to 142 vehicles.

These machines are designed to improve mechanical cleaning of sewerage lines, especially in high-risk zones and during the monsoon season.

The new vehicles were inaugurated by Murtaza Wahab, who also launched KWSC’s first policing station and an EV-charging station at the corporation’s headquarters. Dedicated service centres are being established in Karsaz, Sakhi Hassan and the SITE/Haroonabad industrial area to support faster response times. A major parking and deployment zone for 25 suction machines is being set up in Haroonabad to serve Karachi’s western and coastal districts more efficiently.
