Karachi road accident Four motorcyclists, including a food delivery hero, tragically killed in separate accidents across the city. Speeding, carelessness, and poor road safety continue to claim innocent lives. When will it end?

Karachi road accident tragedies continue to haunt the city’s streets, claiming four more lives—this time, including a young food delivery rider just trying to earn a living.

In a single day, Karachi road accident incidents left behind a trail of grief in multiple neighborhoods. The roads of Karachi turned tragic once again, as four motorcyclists lost their lives in separate, deeply upsetting crashes that underscore the rising threat to two-wheeler riders across the city.

Near Teen Talwar, one of the city’s busiest intersections, a devastating collision unfolded. A speeding car slammed into a motorcycle, killing one man instantly. His companion, badly injured, was rushed to the hospital. Police acted swiftly, arresting the car’s driver at the scene.

Another tragic Karachi road accident unfolded on Khayaban-e-Nishat in DHA. Murtaza, a rider working with an online food delivery service, was hit by a double-cabin vehicle and died instantly. The driver of that vehicle, identified as Usman Shah Rashdi, was arrested at the scene. Authorities later revealed that he is the grandson of former DIG Peer Hasan Shah Rashdi. The vehicle was impounded at Darakhshan Police Station as part of the ongoing investigation.

Elsewhere in the city, a devastating crash near Karsaz on Sharea Faisal took the life of a young man named Shamoon and left his mother severely injured. Their motorcycle stood no chance when hit by a speeding car.

And on Jam Sadiq Bridge in Qayyumabad, another unidentified motorcyclist met a grim fate when an unknown vehicle struck and killed him. Police say investigations into these hit-and-run cases are underway.

But these are not isolated cases. Over the past few months, Karachi road accident figures have surged, particularly involving high-speed, heavy vehicles like dumper trucks. Just earlier this May, reports confirmed that at least 110 people have died in Karachi in recent months due to such fatal collisions.

Each victim had a name, a story, and a family. And as the city mourns yet again, calls for road safety reforms grow louder.
