Karachi Green Line BRT resume

Work on the long-delayed Green Line BRT project in Karachi is set to resume after a meeting between federal officials and the city’s mayor, Murtaza Wahab.

The delegation, including representatives from Pakistan Infrastructure Development Company Limited (PIDCL), briefed the mayor on a stalled 1.8-kilometre stretch between Numaish Chowrangi and Municipal Park near Jama Cloth Market, where three new bus stations will also be built.

PIDCL assured the mayor that the section will be completed within one year and directed team to restart work immediately, noting the corridor has been delayed by six years since its launch in 2016.
