RAWALPINDI: Director General of ISPR Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has accused India of externalizing its internal problems by blaming Pakistan and sponsoring terrorism, particularly in regions like Balochistan. Addressing foreign media in Rawalpindi, alongside representatives from the Pakistan Air Force and Navy, he said India is using Pakistan as a scapegoat to divert attention from its domestic crises.

Chaudhry emphasized that Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory, yet India continues its efforts to portray it as an internal matter. He accused India of fabricating narratives to justify its actions in the region.

Referring to the Pahalgam incident, Chaudhry criticized India for immediately blaming Pakistan without conducting an investigation. He presented video statements from Indian citizens, politicians, and retired military officers who called it a security lapse by the Indian government. He further accused Indian media of spreading disinformation to implicate Pakistan.

The DG ISPR also highlighted India’s suppression of dissent by banning thousands of social media accounts and restricting access to platforms in Pakistan, effectively controlling the narrative for the Indian public.

He alleged that India is actively sponsoring terrorism inside Pakistan, especially in Balochistan, and engaging in transnational assassinations, including incidents in Canada.

Chaudhry concluded by stating that Pakistan remains a key bulwark against global terrorism, and India’s attempts to sabotage its counterterrorism efforts risk destabilizing the region.
