Police in Khushab, Punjab, intercepted a vehicle at the Jaba check post and seized 2,400 kilograms of dead chicken meat before it could be delivered to markets, restaurants and fast-food outlets. Authorities acting on routine patrol discovered the large load of poultry, which was unfit for human consumption, and detained the vehicle’s driver for further investigation. Officers said such illegal supply attempts have occurred repeatedly in the province, and stressed that distributing dead or unsafe meat poses serious health risks to the public.
