Sindh dengue cases surge 2025

Sindh’s health authorities reported a surge of 150 new dengue cases across the province in the past 24 hours, with hospital admissions in both public and private healthcare facilities. According to the director-general of health in Sindh, 70 patients were admitted in government hospitals and 80 in private ones.

Laboratory testing revealed 641 positive cases out of 4,620 samples processed: 325 from Karachi labs and 316 from Hyderabad labs. Meanwhile, 82 patients were discharged from government hospitals and 53 from private hospitals in the same time frame.

Fortunately, no deaths linked to dengue were reported during this 24-hour period. The health department emphasised the need for increased vigilance, vector control measures, and public awareness ahead of the monsoon season.
