Gold prices in Pakistan surged sharply on Saturday, tracking strong gains in international bullion markets, traders in Karachi said. The price of 24-carat gold per tola rose by Rs 7,100 to Rs 533,562, while the rate for 10 grams climbed by Rs 6,087 to Rs 457,443. The increase followed a $71 rise in global gold prices per ounce, which settled higher in overseas markets. Silver prices also moved up domestically, with per tola rates increasing. The uptick reflects broader global support for precious metals amid market volatility.
