Gold prices in Pakistan surged sharply on Saturday, tracking strong gains in international bullion markets, traders in Karachi said. The price of 24-carat gold per tola rose by Rs 7,100 to Rs 533,562, while the rate for 10 grams climbed by Rs 6,087 to Rs 457,443. The increase followed a $71 rise in global gold prices per ounce, which settled higher in overseas markets. Silver prices also moved up domestically, with per tola rates increasing.
