Muhammad Waseem title defence

Pakistani boxer Muhammad Waseem, the WBA Gold World Bantamweight champion, is gearing up for a title defence on his home turf against Thailand’s Jakrawut Majungoe on November 29 in Lahore.

Waseem, aged 38, has been training in Liverpool under coach Danny Vaughan, focusing on adapting his tactics for a south-paw opponent and perfecting combinations for the bout.

The event will be a major spectacle in Pakistan, featuring over 38 international boxers and six local pugilists, and will take place at Lahore’s Garrison Club.

Waseem said the fight represents more than just personal success — he sees it as an opportunity to promote professional boxing in Pakistan and provide a platform for local talent.
