Pakistan future war preparedness

Outgoing General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has urged that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully prepared for future conflicts as global security dynamics rapidly evolve.

In his farewell address at the Joint Staff Headquarters, he highlighted that shifting global threats — including hybrid warfare and full-scale conflicts — demand a unified, coordinated strategic posture from all branches of the military.

He underlined that institutional reforms, closer inter-service coordination and modernisation of forces are “not optional but necessary,” stressing that Pakistan must adapt to the changing nature of war.

Mirza warned that national defence cannot rely on fragmented command or outdated structures, urging a consolidated, well-equipped, and ready military to face emerging security challenges.
