Murad Ali Shah — the Chief Minister of Sindh — has dismissed rumours about dividing Sindh or creating new provinces, calling such talk “baseless.”
He said no leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) supports any scheme that threatens Sindh’s unity, urging citizens to “listen to such rumours with one ear and let them go out from the other.”
During his visit to the village of Manahiyo in Bhan Syedabad area, after arriving via helicopter from Karachi, he also expressed condolences to grieving families over recent local deaths.
When asked about any change in the provincial governor’s office, he emphasised that such decisions rest solely with the Prime Minister and the President, and that Sindh’s government is not consulted.
