Karachi Drug Smuggling Arrests

Karachi, October 13, 2026: Police in Karachi’s Gadap area have arrested two suspects accused of transporting narcotics concealed inside specially modified slippers.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Dr Abdul Khaliq Pirzada, the suspects allegedly travelled from Hub Chowki to Gadap while carrying approximately two kilograms of hashish hidden inside their footwear.

The arrests have prompted an investigation into a suspected drug-supply network operating between Balochistan and Karachi.

Two Suspects Arrested During Gadap Police Operation

Police identified the arrested individuals as Saqib and Kamran.

SSP Malir Dr Abdul Khaliq Pirzada said the suspects had allegedly transported hashish from Hub Chowki in Balochistan to Karachi’s Gadap area.

During the operation, officers discovered narcotics concealed inside specially designed compartments in the suspects’ slippers.

According to police, each suspect was carrying approximately one kilogram of hashish, bringing the total reported quantity to around two kilograms.

Investigators believe the footwear had been modified specifically to conceal the drugs during transportation.

Cobbler Allegedly Involved in Drug Smuggling Network

Police investigations have revealed the suspected involvement of a cobbler who allegedly prepared the modified slippers.

According to SSP Pirzada, the footwear contained hidden compartments designed to carry narcotics without attracting attention.

Investigators suspect that the cobbler helped facilitate the transportation of drugs by preparing the footwear for members of the alleged network.

Police have not confirmed whether the cobbler has been arrested.

Suspects Allegedly Used Secret Code Words

Investigators also discovered that the suspected drug suppliers allegedly used coded language to communicate and coordinate deliveries.

According to an Urdu-language report by ARY News, the group reportedly used the phrase “Haal Hawal” as a code during drug-supply communications.

Police are examining how the alleged communication system operated and whether additional individuals were involved in coordinating the deliveries.

Police Investigate Wider Drug Supply Network

SSP Malir said investigators are working to identify other individuals who may be connected to the suspected trafficking operation.

Authorities are examining the suspects’ alleged contacts and possible links to a broader narcotics distribution network.

Police are also checking the previous criminal records of Saqib and Kamran to determine whether they have been involved in similar activities.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the allegations against the suspects have not yet been established in court.

ANF Recently Seized 3,825 Kilograms of Drugs in Balochistan

In a separate anti-narcotics operation, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) reported recovering 3,825 kilograms of drugs from a suspected hideout in the Josak area of Kech district, Balochistan.

According to ANF officials, the seizure included 2,454 kilograms of hashish, 1,363 kilograms of methamphetamine and eight kilograms of heroin.

The recovered narcotics were reportedly valued at more than Rs560 million.

Officials alleged that the drugs were being stored temporarily before their planned transportation overseas through a maritime route.

The ANF is investigating the suspected trafficking network and searching for those responsible. No direct connection between this seizure and the Gadap arrests has been reported.
