A fire broke out early Saturday morning at a fibre-manufacturing factory in the Korangi Mehran Town industrial area of Karachi, causing partial collapse of the building.
Fire-rescue authorities dispatched six fire-tenders and two water-bowsers, and after several hours brought the blaze under control, subsequently moving into the cooling-down stage.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation as emergency crews assess the damage from what appears to have been a rapid and intense blaze.
