The families of two young women killed in a hit-and-run crash in Islamabad have pardoned the accused — the teenage son of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Mohammed Asif.
The incident occurred when a speeding SUV allegedly driven by the teenager struck the victims. The vehicle reportedly fled the scene immediately after the collision.
During a court hearing, the brother of one victim and the father of the other formally pardoned the accused. Following their statements, a judicial magistrate granted bail and ordered his release.
The case had initially involved charges under sections including rash driving, manslaughter, and mischief causing damage.
