Islamabad court blast

In a deadly attack in the heart of Pakistan’s capital, a suicide bomber detonated explosives outside the gate of a district court building in Islamabad, killing at least 12 people and wounding 27 others, according to officials.

The blast occurred near a police vehicle after the attacker, unable to enter the court complex, waited roughly 10-15 minutes before the detonation, said Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene as victims lay wounded and bleeding near the site. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, warning that the attack in the capital represents a serious escalation in security threats.
