Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that Pakistan is out of its economic crisis, attributing the turnaround to ongoing reform efforts and improved governance. Speaking at a public event in Karachi, Shehbaz said recent fiscal measures, enhanced tax collection, and structural reforms have stabilised key economic indicators, leading to increased investor confidence and growth prospects. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining macroeconomic stability, tackling inflation, and expanding employment opportunities.
Shehbaz also criticised political opponents for spreading “negative narratives” about the economy, asserting that Pakistan’s economic fundamentals are stronger now than in previous years. He vowed to continue reforms to further strengthen agriculture, industry, and exports, and to ensure that development benefits reach citizens nationwide. The prime minister called on all political and business stakeholders to support the government’s economic agenda for sustained progress.
