Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has urged authorities to provide immediate petrol price relief to the public after a fresh increase in fuel rates across the country.
He expressed concern over the rising cost of living and said that ordinary citizens are already struggling with inflation. According to him, the latest fuel price hike has further increased transport and daily expenses, making life harder for low and middle-income families. He stressed that the government must act quickly to deliver petrol price relief so people can manage basic needs without extra pressure.
Nawaz Sharif also highlighted that consistent increases in petroleum prices directly impact food prices, transport fares, and overall household budgets. He said that without meaningful petrol price relief, inflation will continue to affect every sector of society.
Calling for urgent steps, he asked policymakers to focus on practical measures that can reduce financial stress on the public. He added that petrol price should be a priority to support economic stability and protect vulnerable groups from further hardship.
The statement comes at a time when fuel prices continue to fluctuate, raising concerns among citizens who are already facing economic challenges.
