petrol price increase Pakistan

The federal government has announced a revision in the prices of petroleum products, which will be in effect from November 1, 2025 for the next 15 days. According to a notification from the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 2.43 per litre, bringing it up to Rs 265.45, from Rs 263.02. Meanwhile, the cost of high-speed diesel has been raised by Rs 3.02 per litre, moving from Rs 275.42 to Rs 278.44.

Government officials attributed the hike to rising global oil prices, noting that this increase will further strain consumers who are already coping with inflationary pressures. The previous bi-monthly adjustment, on October 15, had instead brought reductions — with petrol lowered by Rs 5.66 per litre (from Rs 268.68 to Rs 263.02) and high-speed diesel by Rs 1.39 (from Rs 276.81 to Rs 275.42).
