Petrol and other petroleum product prices in Pakistan are expected to drop starting 1 December 2025, according to provisional calculations shared by industry sources.
If approved, petrol may fall by approximately Rs 3.70–3.75 per litre, high-speed diesel by around Rs 4.28–6.10 per litre, light diesel oil by Rs 6.35 per litre, and kerosene by nearly Rs 0.73 per litre.
These reductions are tied to easing international oil prices and lower import costs, which have prompted the oil industry to send revised pricing proposals to the regulator.
The final decision rests with the federal government — which is expected to approve the new rates after reviewing the summary from the regulator.
If adopted, the lower fuel prices are likely to provide relief to consumers and transport sector by easing fuel-cost burden as winter begins.
