In a tragic incident in Karachi’s Gizri neighbourhood, a man allegedly stabbed his wife and 11-year-old daughter to death during a domestic dispute.
The victims have been identified as 43-year-old Kulsoom and her daughter Maryam. The attack reportedly occurred near Noorani Mosque in Upper Gizri’s Baloch Para at around 9:30 pm on December 5.
Police from Clifton station registered a murder case under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the victim’s brother. The accused, identified as Samiullah, was arrested at the scene and the murder weapon was recovered.
According to preliminary investigation, the double homicide appears to have stemmed from a domestic dispute. Authorities are continuing inquiries to determine motive and other details.
