proclaimed offenders anti-Pakistan propaganda

An Islamabad district and sessions court has declared three individuals — Seemabia Tahir (a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf), and journalists Ahmad Noorani and Jameel Farooqi — as proclaimed offenders, after they failed to appear in court on charges linked to “anti-Pakistan propaganda” on social media.

The court, presided by Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Abbas Shah, also issued arrest warrants against the trio, noting they ignored repeated summons despite ongoing investigations.

These designations follow cases filed by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) during July and August 2025. Three separate cases were lodged against them.

The development comes a day after the court similarly declared another PTI leader, Mirza Shahzad Akbar, a proclaimed offender in a related case.
