Youm-e-Ali in Karachi

Authorities have deployed around 22,000 police personnel across Karachi to ensure security during Youm-e-Ali processions, which mark the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali (RA). The large deployment aims to maintain law and order and protect participants attending processions and religious gatherings across the city.

Police officials said strict security arrangements and monitoring measures have been put in place along the main procession route, which traditionally starts from Nishtar Park and concludes at Imambargah Hussainia Iranian in Kharadar. Roads along the route will be heavily monitored and secured to prevent any untoward incident.

Authorities have also coordinated with Rangers, traffic police, and other law-enforcement agencies to manage traffic diversions and ensure safe movement of mourners and citizens. Additional steps such as surveillance, checkpoints, and emergency response readiness have been implemented to maintain peace during the observance.
