Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and China, describing the two countries’ partnership as a strong bond built on mutual trust and support.
Sharif made the remarks at a ceremony hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad to mark China’s National Day on September 30, 2026.
Shehbaz Sharif Highlights China-Pakistan Partnership
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan is proud of its all-weather strategic cooperative partnership with China.
He also highlighted China’s economic and national development, saying the country has achieved significant progress under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
The prime minister said the relationship between Pakistan and China is based on mutual trust, mutual support and close connections between their people.
75 Years of Diplomatic Relations
The year 2026 marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, making it an important milestone for the two countries.
Sharif said the friendship between the two nations has remained strong over the years and has continued through various challenges, including natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods.

The two countries have developed cooperation across several areas, including infrastructure, trade, technology and space-related projects.
