Police Recover Note Mentioning Financial Difficulties
Investigators reportedly recovered a handwritten note believed to have been left by Shahzaib.
According to police, the note described serious financial difficulties faced by the family.
Officials said Shahzaib had been unemployed and was struggling to meet household expenses. He had reportedly been supporting his family by selling property inherited from his late father.
Investigators are examining the note and the family’s financial circumstances as part of the inquiry. The authenticity of the note and its relevance to the deaths remain subject to forensic examination.
Initial Investigation Points to Possible Suicide
Police said the residence was locked from the inside when officers arrived.
Preliminary reports indicated that Shahzaib and his wife had apparent gunshot injuries, while the bodies of the two children and Shahzaib’s sister were found elsewhere in the room.
Investigators are also examining whether poisoning may have been involved in some of the deaths.
However, police have not confirmed the cause of death for each family member. Forensic findings and postmortem examinations will be important in establishing the sequence of events.

Sindh Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the relevant deputy inspector general.
The police chief directed investigators to conduct a transparent and impartial inquiry into all aspects of the case.
He instructed officers to collect evidence from the scene, carry out forensic examinations and complete all necessary legal procedures.
The IG also ordered investigators to examine any possible criminal involvement rather than reaching a conclusion before the evidence had been assessed.

Investigators are looking into the family’s background, financial circumstances and the evidence recovered from the house.
Although the reported note refers to unemployment and financial hardship, authorities have not established whether these circumstances directly contributed to the deaths.
Police are expected to use forensic evidence, medical findings and other information to determine the cause and circumstances of the incident.
