ISLAMABAD: Security forces have killed 13 terrorists in separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to security sources. The operations were conducted as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts in the two provinces.
Five Terrorists Killed in South Waziristan
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan targeting militant hideouts.
According to security sources, five terrorists were killed during the operation. The hideouts were also destroyed, while a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered.
Eight Terrorists Killed in Balochistan
In Balochistan, security forces carried out operations against militants in the Gorander and Mashkel areas.
Security sources said terrorists opened fire on a security check post in Mashkel and attempted to escape. Security forces responded and killed the militants during the operation.
Weapons and Ammunition Recovered
Officials said weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants following the operations. The terrorists were reportedly using the destroyed hideouts for their activities.
The operations were carried out under Pakistan’s ongoing counterterrorism framework, including Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 in Balochistan and the Azm-i-Istehkam vision in KP.

Security Operations Continue
Security forces have continued intelligence-based operations in KP and Balochistan amid an increase in militant activity. In a separate operation in North Waziristan on October 6, five more terrorists were killed and two were injured, according to state media.
Authorities say security operations will continue against militant networks and their hideouts across the country.
