This system is forecast to bring light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms to Karachi Division on January 22. In addition to Karachi, districts such as Jamshoro, Dadu, Thatta, Sujawal, Hyderabad, and Tando Muhammad Khan are also expected to see rain. Thunderstorm activity is anticipated in northern and eastern Sindh, including Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana, and Mirpurkhas. Under the influence of this weather change, Karachi’s skies are predicted to transition from dry and clear to mostly cloudy with periods of rain. Relative humidity in the city could increase to between 80 and 90 percent on Thursday morning. After the westerly wave passes, cooler north-westerly winds from Balochistan are expected, bringing a significant drop in temperatures and a cold night on Friday, January 23.
