Karachi recorded its coldest morning of the current winter season, with the minimum temperature falling to 13 °C — a drop of about 3.4 °C compared to recent readings.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast that Karachi will remain cold and dry over the next three days, with northeasterly winds from Balochistan expected to dominate.
There is a possibility the minimum temperature could dip further, reaching around 12 °C, according to meteorological predictions.
Meanwhile, the PMD warned that early-morning fog may form across the plains of Sindh, which could impact visibility and routine activities.
This chilly spell signals the onset of a colder phase in Karachi’s winter, prompting residents to prepare for colder mornings and cooler nights.
