CM Sindh raises alarm amid heavy rains forecast

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has directed all districts to be on high alert due to the recent heavy rains anticipated.

Chief Minister Sindh stated that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), all towns, and water boards must finish the arrangements in their respective regions, and all municipal authorities must keep the storm drains and drainage system clean.

Murad Ali Shah has asked that the district administration and police take care of the people and assist them during tough times.

The Sindh Chief Minister has also asked the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to collaborate with all civic authorities.

Aside from that, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah urged residents not to allow their children leave their homes in light of the severe rainfall.

Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif strongly denounced the tragic event in which occupants of a bus were killed after being kidnapped on National Highway-40 in District Noshki, Balochistan.

The prime minister expressed tremendous pain and sorrow over the horrible occurrence, as well as sympathy for the deceased families.
