Karachi cold wave single-digit temperatures

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a warning that a cold wave will intensify in Karachi, with temperatures expected to fall into the single digits by Saturday or Sunday, marking an unusually chilly spell for the port city. Meteorological officials said cold winds from areas such as Quetta, where mercury readings have dipped below freezing, have already caused a notable drop in Karachi’s temperature, and continued influx of these winds may push the minimum down to around 10°C or lower this weekend.

The PMD forecast that the chill will grip much of the country, with cold and dry weather prevailing across several regions in the coming days, and residents have been advised to prepare for colder conditions, especially during early mornings and nights.
