Rs1.47 billion Azeempura flyover Karachi

Construction has officially begun on a Rs1.47 billion flyover in Karachi’s Shah Faisal Colony, aimed at easing traffic congestion in the city’s eastern corridor. The project, called the Azeempura Flyover, was inaugurated by Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, who laid the foundation stone at the site.

According to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), the flyover will be approximately 700 metres long and is expected to be completed within 100 days. It will provide a grade-separated route allowing vehicles to cross the intersection without stopping at traffic signals.

The project is designed to improve traffic flow between Shah Faisal Colony and Shahrah-e-Bhutto, benefiting commuters traveling from Korangi, Shah Faisal Town, and nearby industrial areas, as the intersection has long been considered a major traffic bottleneck.

City officials say the flyover will significantly reduce waiting times at signals and improve daily travel for thousands of motorists using this busy corridor.
