Ducky Bhai, the popular YouTuber whose real name is Saad-ur-Rehman, faced a major setback on Monday as a Lahore district court dismissed his post-arrest bail plea in the ongoing online gambling case.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo announced the decision at the Lahore district courts, confirming that Ducky Bhai will remain in custody while investigations continue.
The case against Ducky Bhai was filed on August 17 by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on behalf of the state. The FIR includes charges of electronic fraud, cheating, and multiple sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including Section 420.
Earlier, the court had sent Ducky Bhai on judicial remand. Authorities allege that he promoted betting applications through his YouTube channel and social media platforms, earning financial benefits from advertisements in several videos.
Investigators revealed that Ducky Bhai was arrested at Lahore Airport while allegedly attempting to leave the country, despite his name being placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL) as part of the probe.
With the bail plea rejected, Ducky Bhai remains behind bars as investigators intensify their inquiry into the alleged promotion of online gambling apps.
