He was widely recognised for his portrayal of Bill Norwood on the long-running ABC sitcom The Middle from 2011 to 2018, and also appeared in roles on shows such as The George Wendt Show, Murphy Brown, Seinfeld and as Dr. Roger on Friends. Earlier in his career, he performed with the renowned Second City comedy troupe in Chicago, where he forged an early friendship with the late actor Chris Farley.
Finn’s battle with cancer began with a diagnosis in 2022, and although he initially entered remission, the disease later returned and ultimately claimed his life.
