Oman Asia Cup 2025 Squad

The Oman Asia Cup 2025 squad has finally been revealed, marking a historic moment for the nation as they gear up for their first-ever appearance in the prestigious tournament. Leading the 17-member team is seasoned opener Jatinder Singh, who will captain the side with pride and determination.

But that’s not all. The Oman Asia Cup 2025 squad also features four fresh faces — Sufyan Yousuf, Zikriya Islam, Faisal Shah, and Nadeem Khan. These uncapped players are set to make their international debuts on one of the biggest stages in Asian cricket, making this campaign even more memorable for Omani fans.

Head coach Duleep Mendis couldn’t hide his excitement. He called this debut a milestone, stressing how vital it is for his players to face world-class opponents. “It is real that we are participating in the Asia Cup — a major tournament and a fantastic opportunity for our players to showcase their skills on a global stage,” he said.

Mendis also highlighted the thrill of competing against cricket giants. “Playing against teams like India and Pakistan is a moment to embrace for any cricketer. Anything can happen in a fast-paced T20 game, where one over of brilliance can change everything,” he added, underlining the unpredictable beauty of the format.

Preparation has been no less intense. According to Mendis, the ongoing National T20 tournament, along with rigorous training sessions, has helped the Oman Asia Cup 2025 squad build confidence and match readiness.

Drawn in Group A, Oman will lock horns with cricket powerhouses India, Pakistan, and hosts the UAE.
