Four fishermen are reported missing after a merchant vessel collided with their fishing boat off the coast of Karachi on Friday, authorities said. The incident occurred near Manora Beach in the waters of the Karachi Port Trust when the commercial ship struck the smaller vessel, causing it to capsize and forcing all 11 fishermen onboard into the sea.
Police and rescue teams responded promptly, and seven fishermen were pulled from the water by another boat in the area, but search operations continue for the four individuals who remain unaccounted for.
