The Sindh government has launched an initiative to promote tourism by organizing the Thar Desert Train Safari, a special rail journey that departed from Karachi Cantt Railway Station and is headed toward Khokhrapar (Marvi Railway Station – Zero Point). The event reflects the provincial Culture and Tourism Department’s efforts to showcase Sindh’s cultural heritage and recreational opportunities to both domestic and international visitors.
Upon the train’s arrival at Hyderabad Railway Station, Assistant Commissioner Hyderabad City Syed Noor Hussain Shah welcomed the passengers and presented a bouquet to the Regional Director of Tourism, Makhdoom Gulzar. Shah described the initiative as a positive step in highlighting Sindh’s rich cultural and tourist attractions, while additional measures are being implemented to enhance facilities for tourists across the region.
Expressing his satisfaction with the event, Regional Director Tourism Makhdoom Gulzar praised the Hyderabad administration, local media, and the public for their warm reception of the train safari. Following the welcome ceremony, the safari train continued its journey toward Khokhrapar Zero Point, furthering efforts to connect diverse parts of Sindh through cultural tourism.
