Traffic authorities in Karachi have issued a record Rs 100,000 e-challan to the owner of a dumper involved in a deadly crash in Razzaqabad.
The heavy vehicle was found to be operating without a GPS tracker or a valid fitness certificate, prompting strict action by Karachi Traffic Police.
The owner, identified as Sherzada, has been named in the FIR, and if he pays within 14 days, he’ll only need to pay half the fine.
This move follows growing concern over safety violations by dumpers, especially after a fatal collision where a speeding dumper killed a rickshaw driver.
