The Sindh government has ordered that any traffic e-challans received by government officials must be paid out of their own pockets, even if the violation was committed in state-owned vehicles.
The directive comes after several government-registered vehicles were fined under the new e-challan system for offenses such as not wearing a seatbelt, using a cell phone while driving, jumping red lights, and driving with tinted windows.
The order was sent to senior officials across multiple departments — including the Board of Revenue, Planning & Development, Anti-Corruption, and the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team — emphasizing strict compliance with this policy.
