After early morning rains, the weather in Karachi cools off

KARACHI: The weather has turned cool as various sections of Karachi experienced light rainfall early Tuesday morning.

According to the meteorological authority, rain was observed in sections of Karachi, making the city’s weather colder.

Rain fell in several districts of Karachi, including Shahra-e-Faisal, Nursery, Saddar, Kala Pul, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Airport, Malir, and others.

Meanwhile, a westerly wave is impacting the country’s western and upper regions, and it is expected to stay there for the next few days.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported rainfall during the period: Dir (Upper 32mm, Lower 4), Pattan 28, Kalam 20, Malam Jabba 19, Saidu Sharif 15, Balakot 13, Chitral 10, Parachinar 9, Mir Khani 7, Drosh 5, Kakul 3, Mardan 2. Kashmir: Muzaffarabad (City 12, Airport 7), Rawalakot 10, Garhidupatta 9, Kotli 3, Punjab Murree 4, Islamabad (A/P 1). Gilgit-Baltistan: Astore 4, Gupis 2, Bagrote 1.

During the period, Malamjabba received 12 inches of snow, Kalam received 11 inches, while Astore and Murree received 1 inch. Kalam -6°C, Malamjabba, Gupis -4°C, Astore, and Hunza -3°C were the lowest temperatures recorded.
