Karachi: Although the city remained largely cloudy on Wednesday, most districts received periodic light to heavy rainfall, disrupting life in the metropolis. Rainwater gathered in several areas and roadways around the city, causing traffic backups on various routes during the evening rush hour. According to Met Department data, Gadap Town received 42.4mm of rainfall, followed by Orangi Town with 29.4mm, Surjani Town with 24.1mm, North Karachi with 24mm, Nazimabad with 14.6mm, Bin Qasim with 12.5mm, Gulshan-i-Maymar with 12.2mm, PAF Masroor Base with 10mm, Keamari with 6.5mm, Korangi with 6.4mm, Jinnah Terminal with 5.6mm, PAF Faisal Base with 6mm, Met Complex (University Road) with 5.1mm, and DHA Phase II with 1.2mm.
