Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have opted not to attend the Met Gala, missing out on the flash and glamor of fashion’s biggest night. According to individuals with firsthand knowledge, both the Grammy winner and the NFL star refused individual invites to the star-studded celebration.

Despite their public connection, the couple has yet to appear together at premieres or events like the Met Gala. The closest they got to a public appearance was when they attended Madonna’s Oscars after-party, keeping a low profile upon arrival.

Their absence at the Met Gala raises concerns.

Taylor and Travis have continued to attend high-profile events together, despite their absence from the Met Gala. They were photographed front and center at Coachella weekend one, snuggling up during Ice Spice’s set and supporting Taylor’s longtime partner Jack Antonoff as he played with his band.

“They have been invited to tons of public events in the last few weeks but they declined them,” a source close to the situation said. “The Met Gala is a massive event but the plan is to not go as they want to enjoy the maximum time they have before the start of the Euro tour.”
