In a congratulatory phone conversation to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he stated that both nations had close fraternal connections.
The Crown Prince congratulated the Prime Minister on his reelection. The Prime Minister thanked the Saudi Crown Prince for the phone conversation and the warm welcoming message he conveyed soon after taking office.
PM Shehbaz also sent his best wishes and prayers for the health and well-being of King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
He stated that the people of Pakistan have a deep affection and respect for the Saudi King and Crown Prince.
The Prime Minister also wished a good Ramadan to the Saudi leadership and people, and prayed that this holy month brings peace and prosperity to Muslims across the world.
Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan is proud of its historic, deep-rooted, and familial connections with Saudi Arabia, and the two nations have always remained together through thick and thin.
He praised Saudi Arabia for its ongoing commitment and support for Pakistan.
The Prime Minister renewed his offer to the Crown Prince to pay an official visit to Pakistan as soon as possible, noting that the Pakistani people are eager to welcome him.
The Crown Prince thanked the Prime Minister for his warm words.
Later, in a post on his X account, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated his desire to collaborate closely with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to turn deep-rooted and historic brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia into a comprehensive strategic alliance.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that his government’s objective was to turn the longstanding Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relationship into a mutually beneficial, strategic, and economic alliance, with an emphasis on securing Saudi investment for bankable projects in Pakistan.
In a meeting with Saudi Ambassador in Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, who had invited him, the prime minister commended Saudi authorities for broadening the scope of the “Road to Makkah” project, which would help Pakistani Hajj pilgrims.
He thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, for their congratulations on his re-election as Prime Minister.
In a similar incident, Saudi Arabia offered assistance efforts for disaster-hit Gwadar after heavy rains destroyed hundreds of homes in the port city.
Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al Maliky, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador, visited Balochistan and pledged humanitarian measures for the residents of Gwadar.
